It’s Sunday, we’re mourning, a church with no people
Hollow and empty and no one around
But the bells they keep ringing in the steeple
We listen outside for the solemn sound

There’s a church with no people, please try to understand
That an angel came calling and she took my hand
Tomorrow starts without me, I leave behind the ones I love
They called my name from the heavens above

There’s a church with no people, where nobody prays
No funerals, no beliefs, and no wedding days
And tears from heaven are falling like rain
The warm rays of light, we long for each day
